I came into this world, unfortunately with a disability, which meant i spent my childhood in & out of hospital having operations to rectify this disability, all of those operations went wrong each time & caused major conflicts at home, this created a big gap in my life, so when i grew into adulthood & was able to make my own decisions, i decided i wanted my life back.
So i gave up having those damn life wrecking wretched operations & made something of myself, the disability is a birth defect which caused myself to be born with no right eye due to some stupid doctor prescribing my mother some medication called thalidomide during her pregnancy, anyhow that's enough of that, on to the bit where i made something of myself.
I'd already decided what career i was going to have, but little did i know what the future held for me! i studied hard for three full years to gain a city & guilds diploma which i passed with flying colours & became a fully qualified mechanical engineer, great i ended up working for a gas cylinder manufacturing company for 3 years before moving on to better things, such as repairing & servicing hgv's & plant machinery for another 5 years of my working life, after that i ended up back in gas cylinder manufacturing for another 2 years, before becoming self employed.
At the moment I'm enjoying being self employed, I'm not running a well known business as such but just earning my keep anything other than that is a bonus. I'm still doing engineering work, also landscaping & the best bit PC maintenance, which originally started out has a project of building my own better spec PC & took off from there, i get quite a lot of work maintaining folks PC's it's amazing what i can & could turn my hands to.
I once said to my grandmother, I'm a jack of all trades, master of none but a performer of miracles, that was until i became an engineer, but still is really.
I also share the same birth date with the famous snooker player Steve Davis.
My fishing also started out in my younger years, there'll be more about that on the "about my fishing" page.
William.
